Diplomatul Gabriel Grecu, acuzat de spionaj, a fost eliberat

Jurnalistii care au vizitat sediul misiunii diplomatice a Romaniei la Moscova l-au putut vedea pe Gabriel Grecu. Diplomatul a fost declarat persona non grata si trebuie sa paraseasca Rusia in decurs de doua zile.
Gabriel Grecu, secretar I al Ambasadei Romaniei de la Moscova, a fost retinut luni de Serviciul Federal de Securitate (FSB), sub acuzatia de spionaj. Agentia RIA Novosti a anuntat ca diplomatul roman a fost prins la Moscova in timp ce incerca sa obtina informatii militare cu caracter secret de la un cetatean rus.
“Ministerul rus al Afacerilor Externe a transmis o nota de protest partii romane in legatura cu activitatea lui Gabriel Grecu”, se arata in comunicatul Serviciului Federal de Securitate.
FSB a explicat ca de fapt Gabriel Grecu lucra la Ambasada Romaniei ca agent acoperit al Serviciului de Informatii Externe (SIE).
“FSB l-a identificat pe diplomat ca fiind Gabriel Grecu de la Serviciul roman de Informatii Externe, care lucreaza la Ambasada Romaniei ca secretar I al departamentului politic”, potrivit ITAR-Tass.
Serviciul Federal de Securitate sustine ca diplomatul roman ar fi incercat sa obtina informatii militare cu caracter secret de la un cetatean rus.
“Agentului i-au fost confiscate obiecte specifice activitatii de spionaj, care dovedesc pe deplin activitatea sa indreptata impotriva Federatiei Ruse”, precizeaza FSB.
Deocamdata, Ministerul Afecerilor Externe de la Bucuresti nu a reactionat la anuntul facut de FSB.
Gabriel Grecu a fost in 2007 insarcinat cu afaceri ad interim al Romaniei in Armenia.
