Maternitatea Giulesti, pusa sub urmarire penala

Procurorul Marius Iacob a anuntat miercuri inceperea urmaririi penale impotriva Maternitatii Giulesti pentru ucidere din culpa si vatamare grava din culpa, precum si posibilitatea ca bunurile spitalului sa fie puse sub sechestru pentru recuperarea pagubelor provocate de incendiu.
Decizia anchetatorilor a fost luata pe baza indiciilor privind incalcarea normelor de sanatate si securitate in munca, a normelor privind montarea si verificarea instalatiilor electrice, a reglementarilor cu privire la gestionarea resurselor umane existente si a reglementarilor de luare a unor masuri de prevenire a incendiilor.
“Masura dispusa astazi fata de unitatea medicala nu inlatura posibilitatea extinderii urmaririi penale cu privire la unele persoane fizice care au contribuit in mod direct la realizarea aceleiasi infractiuni”, a spus Marius Iacob.
Intrebat de catre ziaristi ce risca spitalul, Marius Iacob a raspuns ca unitatea medicala poate chiar sa fie desfiintata, insa aceasta masura poate fi luata numai de catre instanta.
“Maine vom verifica bunurile proprietate privata, adica acele bunuri care nu afecteaza derularea activitatii sanitare, urmand sa analizam posibilitatea instituirii sechestrului asigurator. La dosar a fost depusa o asigurare medicala de malpraxis pentru spital. Aceasta este in suma de 500.000 de euro, dar care nu acopera paguba initiala de 1 milion de euro”, a spus Marius Iacob.
Tot miercuri, au fost audiati patru parinti ai caror bebelusi au murit in urma incendiului, doi dintre ei constituindu-se parti civile si vor cere daune spitalului.
Este pentru a doua oara cand procurorii au dispus inceperea urmaririi penale impotriva unui spital.
In iunie 2010, Parchetul General a trimis in judecata Spitalul Clinic de Urgenta ‘Sf. Ioan’ din Bucuresti, sub aspectul savarsirii infractiunii de vatamare corporala grava din culpa, dupa ce o asistenta a uitat, in noiembrie 2009, un bebelus intr-un incubator la Maternitatea Bucur, nou-nascutul suferind arsuri grave.
