Un fost sef de tura din vama Giurgiu, Marius Ungureanu a declarat la televizor ca i-a dat lui Vasile Marica in perioada 1997-2002, in fiecare luna cate 2200-2500 de dolari. “Marica a santajat toti directorii Autoritatii Nationale din Vama, indiferent de culoarea politica. Stia secunda de secunda tot ce misca in punctele vamale, pe langa amenintarile cu proteste”, a afirmat Ungureanu. Acesta a precizat ca l-a cunoscut pe Marica in 1996, care s-a prezentat ca un om influent, cu relatii la autoritatea vamala. Ungureanu a mai spus ca si Cristoiu Robert ( n.r.un alt sef de tura, actualmente prefectul judetului Giurgiu) ii dadea lui Marica tot 2500 de dolari pe luna. El a mai spus ca s-a mai autodenuntat o data in 2003, dar nu s-a intamplat nimic. “Sper ca de aceasta data sa se clarifice lucrurile”, a adaugat Ungureanu.
