Europarlamentarul Adrian Severin s-a autosuspendat din Biroul Permanent National al PSD pana la clarificarea situatiei sale din Parlamentul European. “Cred ca a facut ceea ce trebuia sa faca. Rezultatele anchetei din PE vor decide ce vom face in viitor in privinta lui Severin”, a declarat presedintele PSD, Victor Ponta.
In acelasi timp, procurorii DNA s-au autosesizat in acest caz privind posibila savarsire de fapte de coruptie, a declarat purtatorul de cuvant al DNA, Livia Saplacan.
Cotidianul britanic The Sunday Times a publicat un articol in care a dezvaluit faptul ca trei europarlamentari, printre care si Adrian Severin, s-ar fi declarat dispusi “sa-si vanda serviciile” contra unor sume de bani de pana la 100 000 de euro.
