Explozie la centrala nucleara japoneza Fukushima I

Japonia a comunicat Agentiei Internationale pentru Energie Atomica (AIEA) ca un rezervor de combustibil, posibil hidrogen, a luat foc la un reactor al centralei nucleare de la Fukushima I si radiatiile au fost emise ‘direct’ in atmosferă, informeaza Reuters. Armata japoneza si americana este chemata in ajutor pentru racirea reactorului.
Potrivit AIEA, care citeaza informatii pe care le-a primit de la autoritatile japoneze, emisii de pana la 400 de millisievert (mSv) pe ora, unitatea de masura pentru dozele de radiatii care ajung in organism, au fost raportate la centrala nucleara de la Fukushima.
Radiatiile sunt de 400 de ori mai mari decât limita normala anuală. Vantul bate usor catre regiunea Kanto, care include capitala Tokyo, informeaza BBC.
Riscul de noi emanatii de material radioactiv de la uzina nucleara ramane “foarte ridicat”, a avertizat, la randul său, premierul Naoto Kan, care s-a adresat natiunii. El le-a cerut oamenilor aflati pe o rază de 30 de kilometri de centrala sa ramana “inauntru”.
Potrivit companiei Tokyo Electric Power, nivelul presiunii indica unele avarii la bazinul de racire al reactorului nr.2, unde marti dimineată a avut loc o noua explozie, cea de-a treia care se produce la Fukushima de la inceputul crizei. Această explozie este posibil sa fi avariat recipientul in care se afla reactorul. Exploziile anterioare avariasera doar incinta in care se afla reactorul.
Barele de combustibil de la acest reactor au ramas expuse luni timp de doua ore si jumătate, iar o ora de expunere este echivalenta cu emanarea unui nivel de radiatii de opt ori mai mare decat cel la care o persoana este expusa in mod obisnuit in decursul unui an.
