Cupa Mondiala: Rusia-2018, Qatar-2022. Anglia, marea invinsa

Comitetul executiv al FIFA a decis joi la Zurich ca Rusia sa gazduiasca Cupa Mondiala de Fotbal in anul 2018. De asemenea, Qatar va organiza CM 2022. Pentru editia din 2018, au concurat Anglia, Rusia, precum si candidaturile comune ale Spaniei si Portugaliei, respectiv Belgiei si Olandei. Inaintea votului, Anglia era marea favorita.
In ceea ce priveste turneul final Din 2022, lupta s-a dat intre SUA, Qatar, Japonia, Coreea de Sud si Australia.
