Cutremur inspaimantator, urmat de tsunami in Japonia

Un cutremur cu magnitudinea de 8,9 a avut loc, vineri dimineata, in largul coastelor nord-estice ale Japoniei, cel mai puternic seism din ultimii 140 de ani. Mai multe imobile din Tokyo au fost puternic zguduite. A fost declansata alerta de tsunami in tot bazinul Pacificului, fiind vizate 20 de state. Bilantul provizoriu indica 32 de morti si sute de raniti, precum si pagube materiale imense. Valuri seismice de zece metri au fost inregistrate in regiunea Sendai, nord-estul tarii, scrie media locala. Televiziunile locale transmit imagini inspaimantatoare de la fata locului: cladiri prabusire, masini luate de ape, poduri rupte, incendii. CNN arata si o rafinarie cuprinsa de flacari.
Seismul a avut loc la ora locala 14:46, cand oamenii erau la locul de munca. In capitala Tokyo, aflata la 380 km distanta de epicentul cutremurului, mai multe cladiri au fost zguduite puternic cel putin doua minute, cei mai multi locatari fiind foarte speriati si iesind in strada, scrie AFP. Purtatorul de cuvant al MAE, Doris Mircea, a declarat ca deocamdata nu au fost semnalate cazuri de cetateni romani aflati in dificultate in Japonia.
Premierul Japoniei a indemnat populatia sa actioneze cu calm. “Au avut loc pagube pe o zona larga. Imi ofer compasiunea celor afectati de dezastru. Anumite centrale nucleare s-au oprit automat, dar nu exista informatii legate de scurgeri de radiatii,” a declarat acesta imediat dupa cutremur, informeaza BBC.
Crucea Rosie avertizeaza ca valul tsunami este in acest moment mai inalt decat nivelul unor insule din Pacific si ar putea sa le acopere in intregime.
