Consulul francez in Hong Kong, rechemat in tara, pentru ca a furat doua sticle de vin

Furtul a doua sticle de vin ‘foarte scump’ de la celebrul Country Club din Hong Kong ar fi cauza rechemarii urgente in tara a consulului general al Frantei in Hong Kong, Marc Fonbaustier. Acesta a plecat de la post in graba si in mare secret, in seara zilei de 23 noiembrie, invocand atunci motive ‘strict personale’ si lasand in urma zvonuri dintre cele mai extravagante si sordide, scrie Le Monde.
Diplomatul de 46 de ani ar fi furat doua sticle de vin din pivnita Country Club, unul din cele mai in voga cluburi din regiunea cu regim administrativ special, retrocedata de Marea Britanie Chinei populare in 1997.
Furtul ar fi avut loc la Wine Cellar, restaurant care se afla la subsol si pe ai carui pereti se gasesc sticle mai mult sau mai putin rare si scumpe. Membrii clubului mananca la cele cateva mese rustice care incearca sa creeze o ambianta de crama.
O camera de supraveghere plasata in spatele unei grinzi este fara indoiala principalul martor la ceea ce s-a intamplat, se pare, acum cateva saptamani.
Potrivit unui oficial implicat in dosar, consulul ar fi ascuns vinul ‘in pantaloni’. Sa fi fost un joc sau un pariu la sfarsitul serii? Cert e ca locul n-ar fi putut fi ales mai prost. Country Club este locul preferat de inalta societate din Hong Kong la sfarsit de saptamana, care se regaseste in jurul piscinei, pe terenurile de tenis sau la o sticla de vin deosebit in Wine Cellar.
Presedintele acestui club este chiar numarul unu din Hong Kong, Donald Tsang. Purtatorul de cuvant din Quai d’Orsay, Bernard Valero, a spus pe 25 noiembrie ca ‘se efectueaza o ancheta administrativa in privinta faptelor care au motivat aceasta decizie’.
‘Faptele, daca se confirma, pot sa nu fie conforme cu cerintele de conduita profesionala ale unui diplomat francez’, a adaugat el. Consulul general era foarte popular atat in randul comunitatii franceze, care numara 13.000 persoane, cat si printre membrii guvernului si miliardarilor din Hong Kong. Marc Fonbaustier a fost numit consul general in Hong Kong si Macao acum un an.
