Faith, o catelusa de opt ani care are doar picioarele din spate, a primit gradul de sergent onorific al armatei americane pentru ca ii ajuta pe veteranii mutilati in teatrele de razboi sa depaseasca greutatile provocate de rani, scrie cotidianul The Sun. Catelusa merge pe picioarele din spate, imbracata cu o hainuta militara cand viziteaza bazele militare si spitalele, unde este foarte iubita.
‘Se pare ca Faith ii inspira pe tinerii militari. Este foarte emotionant sa le vezi reactiile. Ea le arata ca marile necazuri pot fi invinse’, declara stapana ei, Jude Stringfellow, din Oklahoma City.
Faith s-a nascut fara un picior din fata si celelalte deformate. Veterinarii au sfatuit-o pe stapana s-o eutanasieze, insa Jude a refuzat. Celalalt picior din fata, nedezvoltat, i-a fost amputat si catelusa a invatat sa mearga in doua picioare, fiind atrasa cu o ligurita cu unt de arahide.
‘Ea a invatat sa mearga si veterinarii au fost de parere ca-i poate inspira si pe altii s-o faca’, adauga stapana ei. Faith a fost invitata la una din emisiunile moderatoarei Oprah Winfrey si a intrat in lumea celebritatilor, intalnindu-se cu Lindsay Lohan si Michael Bolton. Ea are propriul site pe internet.
